Chief medical officer
Dr. Bryan English was the club doctor and chief medical officer at Chelsea from 2005 until 2011. A long-time Chelsea supporter, he previously worked with British athletes in a role at UK Athletics before joining the club in 2005.  
English divided his time between hands-on clinical work with the players and managing the medical department that contains physios, masseurs, and doctors who are dedicated to the first team, in addition to specialist medical consultants and further physios and masseurs who are dedicated to the youth and reserve teams.  English left the club following the arrival of André Villas-Boas as manager in June 2011.
