Trevor Keith Charles Aylott (born 26 November 1957 in Bermondsey) is an English former striker who played for Chelsea in the late 1970s.

Club career

Having joined the club as an apprentice he signed professional forms in 1975 when he turned 18, but would have to wait almost two years for his first team debut, which came in October 1977. He scored his first goal for the club in the following match; the winner in the 55th minute of a 1-0 win against Bristol City in what was his home debut. He repeated the feat in the next match, again scoring the only goal of the game as Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge, with the goal bizarrely coming in the same minute of the match. [1] Despite his immediate impact Aylott couldn't fully establish himself in the side and wouldn't add to his goal tally at the club. He went on to make 32 appearances over the following couple of years before leaving for Barnsley in November 1979 for a fee of £60,000. He went on to have a well-travelled career in the Football League before retiring from football in the mid-1990s. After retirement he did the Knowledge and became a black cab driver in London. [2]
