As well as competing in three overseas tournaments in the 1978-79 season, the Chelsea Youth team played one other friendly fixture.
Before the new season started, they travelled to Lloret del Mar, winning the tournament. In May they travelled to Rijswijk in Holland, before returning to Lloret del Mar in June 1979, once again winning the tournament.
