Before the start of the 1991/92 season Chelsea played both in Wales and Ireland (three games), as well as at Kingstonian and in Scotland.
Altogether Chelsea played 8 pre-season matches, plus a further four at the end of the season (in France and Canada). In the process they won the inaugural Guinness Challenge Cup.
