The match between Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday on 23 April 1955 was the penultimate match of the 1954-55 season and resulted in a 3-0 victory to Chelsea. A brace from Eric Parsons, either side of a Peter Sillett penalty secured two points, and the result clinched the First Division title; the first time that the Blues had been English champions.
