Dale Jasper (born 14 January 1964 in Croydon) is a former defender and midfielder who played for Chelsea between 1983 and 1986, having joined the club as a youngster. Having grown up a Chelsea fan, watching his team from the Shed, Jasper is unfortunately best remembered for conceding two penalties in a League Cup semi-final against Sunderland as a substitute, after which the young player never fully recovered his confidence. [1] With little opportunity for first team football Jasper moved to Brighton & Hove Albion in 1986.
