John Grandison "Jack" Allister (born 30 June 1927 in Edinburgh) was at Chelsea between 1949 and 1952, making four appearances and scoring once. Nominally a wing half, he also appeared as a centre forward for Chelsea.

Club career

Having joined Chelsea from Tranent Juniors in 1949 Allister would have to wait until 1952 to appear for the first team. He scored on his debut; the only goal in a 1-0 home win against Newcastle United, and made two further appearances in the 1951-52 season. He made his final appearance for Chelsea in October 1952; a 2-2 draw against Charlton Athletic.

He returned to his native Scotland shortly afterwards, signing for Aberdeen, where he would establish himself in the side and help the club to their first league title in 1955. He later played for Chesterfield.
