League Cup
From TheChels.info - The Chelsea Football Club Wiki
The Football League Cup, commonly known as the League Cup or since 1982 by the name of its sponsor (currently Capital One), is an English knock-out cup competition that began in 1960, and is the secondary domestic cup competition after the FA Cup.
During the late 1950s, the majority of senior English clubs equipped their grounds with floodlights. This opened up the opportunity to exploit weekday evenings throughout the winter. The League Cup was introduced in the 1960-61 season specifically as a mid-week floodlit tournament. In the early years of the competition, many of the top teams declined to take part, including Chelsea in 1961-62, 1962-63 and 1965-66. It was only when the final was moved to Wembley Stadium and the winners were guaranteed a UEFA Cup spot that the full League membership took part.
Chelsea have won the League Cup on five occasions, the first in 1965, beating Leicester City in a two-legged final, and most recently in 2015.
