Before Chelsea
Marcus Bettinelli began his journey at Fulham, progressing through the academy before making his senior debut in the 2014–15 season. To gain first-team experience, he spent loan spells at Dartford, Accrington Stanley, and Middlesbrough, where he demonstrated consistency and composure—establishing himself as a dependable goalkeeper in the lower leagues.
Returning to Fulham, he became the club’s first-choice keeper and key performer during their Championship promotion in 2014, shining with reliability and leadership during both Premier League and Championship campaigns.
Chelsea career
Bettinelli joined Chelsea in July 2021 and, despite limited first-team opportunities, quickly became a valued squad presence. He featured just once—a memorable FA Cup win over Chesterfield—but emerged as a vital dressing room figure.
