Mick McGiven (born 7 February 1951 in Newcastle upon Tyne) has been Match Observer/Scout at Chelsea since 2005, following 10 years in charge of the reserves.
A former professional footballer, McGiven played for Sunderland and West Ham United, before taking up a coaching role at Upton Park. He then had a spell working at Chelsea with the youth team before coaching and managing Ipswich Town. He returned to Chelsea in the mid-90s where he performed a variety of roles with the reserve and first teams before taking up his current role in 2005. [1]
