1973/74 was to prove to be a busy season for Chelsea, as far as friendly matches are concerned.
Before the season started Chelsea played five games in two trips to the Continent.
During the season, Chelsea played nine friendly games and then, once the season was over, the Blues travelled across the globe to play six games in Australia.
