Pre-Chelsea career

Armaando joined Chelsea as an Under-9.

Chelsea career

Armando made his Under-18 debut as a schoolboy in 2018 at home to Leicester City. In his first year as a scholar he struggled to make an impression, scoring just twice all season, and serving as a backup to George Nunn. A successful summer with the Albanian national team saw him return to Chelsea with more confidence, leading to a 2019-20 season where he finished as the academy's leading goalscorer with 20 goals in all competitions, and he made his first-team debut against Everton in March 2020.

He made his senior debut in March 2020 in a 4–0 Premier League victory over Everton. The following season, he impressed during a loan spell with Vitesse Arnhem, scoring 10 goals in 34 appearances, showcasing his potential as a forward.

In the 2021–22 season, Broja joined Southampton on loan. He quickly made an impact, scoring on his debut in a League Cup match, and became the first Albanian Premier League goalscorer. He finished the loan with 6 league goals and 9 in all competitions.

Back at Chelsea with a long-term contract, Broja scored his maiden club goal in Oct 2022 against Wolverhampton Wanderers. His season was cut short by a serious knee injury in late 2022, limiting him to just 12 Premier League appearances.

He started the 2023-24 season as a substitute for a new signing, Nicolas Jackson. He netted two goals in 19 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions in the first half of the season. However, on February 1, 2024, Broja joined fellow Premier League club Fulham on loan until the end of the season. He made his debut two days later, in a 2–2 away draw against Burnley in the Premier League. During his stay, he made 8 appearances, most a substitute, failing to score a goal.

For the 2024–25 season, Broja moved on loan to Everton. He made 10 league appearances but didn’t score, as injuries continued to hamper his momentum.

On August 8, 2025, Broja moved to Burnley, on a five-year deal valued at about £20 million.

International

Armando is eligible to represent both England and Albania, and has been capped by the latter up to Under-21 level.
