Gordon Edward Bolland (born 12 August 1943 in Boston, Lincolnshire) is a former forward who made two first team appearances for Chelsea in the early 1960s, having joined the club as a junior. He suffered injury problems at a young age but signed professional forms in August 1960 [1] and was a member of Chelsea's 1960 and 1961 FA Youth Cup winning sides. Bolland made his first team debut in December 1961, in a 2-1 home loss against Burnley. Despite the youngster's undoubted promise he would make only one more first team appearance for the Blues, before being released at the end of the season. He subsequently joining Leyton Orient and went on to enjoy a successful career at Norwich City, Charlton Athletic and Millwall, before concluding his playing career at his hometown club, Boston United, where he was player-manager.
