Ronald Albert Ernest Tindall (23 September 1935 – 9 September 2012) was an English centre forward who played for Chelsea from 1955 until 1961, having joined the club from non-league Camberley as a teenager in 1953. Also a professional cricketer, Tindall combined his time at Chelsea with appearances for Surrey in the summer months.

The Blues were reigning league champions when he made his debut in November 1955, and though the team failed to maintain their position as one of the top sides in England over following seasons, many talented youngsters would emerge from the youth team, including Jimmy Greaves, who played along side Tindall from 1957; the pair forming a prolific partnership. Both players left the club in 1961.

After short spells at West Ham United and Reading Tindall later played for and managed Portsmouth. He emigrated to Australia in 1977, where he would become director of coaching for Western Australia. He was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2008, and was a patron of the Perth Chelsea Supporters' Club. [1]
