- **The 1955-56 FA Cup 4th round tie against Burnley proved to be Chelsea's longest running cup tie. After drawn games at Turf Moor and Stamford Bridge further draws followed in the second replay, played at St Andrew's (Birmingham City FC), and in the third replay, played at Highbury (Arsenal), before the tie was decided at the fourth replay played at White Hart Lane (Tottenham Hotspur FC) with Chelsea 2-0 victors.
