USA Tour 2012

Chelsea's 2012 USA Tour comprised matches against the Seattle Sounders, PSG and AC Milan as part of the World Football Challenge competition, in addition to a match against an MLS All-Stars side.
The World Football Challenge competition had been somewhat enlarged for the 2011 event and on this occasion, the last to be played, there were 11 entrants, 3 from the United States of America, one each from Canada and Mexico and 6 from Europe. It was a somewhat haphazard arrangement as can be seen from the “League” table below and was never played again. By virtue of the fact that they won all their matches within regulation time, one could say that Real Madrid were the winners of the competition.

World Football Challenge
Rules
As far as I can ascertain, all matches were over 90 minutes each, with no extra-time in the event of the scores being level. It appears that clubs received one point for each goal scored in regulation (up to three goals per game). Clubs earned three points for a win. The team with the highest overall number of points determined the World Football Challenge champion.
