Before Chelsea

Wallace came through the youth team ranks at Fluminense and made his debut as a highly-rated 17 year-old in the 2011 season, having caught the eye considerably for Brazil's national youth teams.

On 4 December 2012 it was announced that Chelsea had agreed a deal to sign him for the start of the 2013-14 season, with an estimated fee of £4,500,000. Fluminense are also expected to get 40% of any fee Chelsea receive for Wallace in the future.

The player was to remain at Fluminense on loan until the end of the English 2012-13 season.

Chelsea career

Wallace began his career as a Chelsea player in July 2013, joining the squad for the 2013 Asian Tour. Having impressed in pre-season, but with little chance of securing a work permit to play in England, he was loaned to Internazionale for the 2013-14 season in order to gain experience. [1] However, he struggled to make an impact, making just one start in the cup and three league substitute appearances.

He joined Vitesse Arnhem on loan for the 2014-15 season and was in and out of the team for much of the season, firstly losing his place at right-back to the home-grown defender Kevin Diks before eventually working his way back in late in the campaign as a right winger. His lively attacking displays in the closing weeks of the campaign helped Vitesse qualify for the Europa League.

A loan to Carpi for the first half of the 2015-16 season came to little and in January of that season he returned to Brazil to play for Gremio on an eighteen-month loan deal. That deal went nowhere, he then missed the 2017-18 season injured, and was released at the end of it.

International

Wallace has represented Brazil at Under-17 and Under-20 levels.
