William Young Brown was an English inside forward who played for Chelsea in the 1911-12 and 1912-13 seasons. He joined from Queens Park Rangers in 1911 and was prolific in Chelsea's reserve side, but failed to establish himself in the first team in his time at the club. He made three appearances in September 1911, scoring once, but they would prove to be his only outings for the first team in the 1911-12 season. He made six first team appearances in 1912-13 before leaving to join Bristol City in November 1913. He went on to serve in the First World War, and despite being badly wounded in the conflict he continued to play until 1923. [1]
