James "Jimmy" Clare (born 6 November 1959 in Islington) made one substitute appearance for Chelsea in October 1980, having been a youth player at the club. He had earlier played in Ron Harris' second testimonial in April 1980, and also played and scored in John Dempsey's testimonial match the same year, against an International XI at Stamford Bridge.
