Pre-Chelsea career
Jonas joined Chelsea in 2005 as a first-year scholar from Swiss club side Grasshoppers.
Chelsea career
Jonas' versatility allowed him to feature at full-back or on the left wing and his physical ability quickly allowed him to move through the ranks at Stamford Bridge.
He signed a professional contract with the Blues in 2006 and appeared in three first-team pre-season friendlies but never got the opportunity to make the step up permanently and departed in 2007 in search of regular football.
International
Jonas represented Switzerland at all major junior levels up to Under-21, where he earned six caps; the first of which was whilst he was a Chelsea player.
