Pre-Chelsea career

Lewis joined Chelsea as an Under-8.

Chelsea career

Lewis officially made his Under-18 debut at the end of the 2017-18 season in a match against Arsenal that saw both clubs use Under-15 squads. His real breakthrough followed midway through 2018-19, a season in which he led the Blues to the Under-16 Premier League Cup, and he scored his maiden Under-18 goal on the final day of the season away to Reading.

His rapid progress continued when he became a scholar, quickly setting the tone for the Under-18s before moving on to star in the UEFA Youth League and for the Development Squad. When the Premier League season restarted, he was part of the first-team group, and was named as an unused substitute for the match away to Sheffield United. He was involved on the fringes of the first team squad in 2020-21, but those opportunities dried up when Frank Lampard was sacked, although he retained his role as one of the Development Squad's most consistent performers. In July 2021 he joined Leeds United on a permanent basis.

International

Lewis represented England up to Under-19 level while at Chelsea.
