Pre-Chelsea career
Lewis Hall was born in Slough, England, in September 2004 and joined Chelsea’s academy at the age of eight. Progressing steadily through the youth ranks, he developed a reputation for versatility, technical quality, and maturity beyond his years, capable of playing at left-back, wing-back, or in central midfield.
Chelsea career
Lewis broke into the Under-18 team while an Under-16, making twelve appearances and racking up five goal contributes (one goal, four assists).
Hall made his senior Chelsea debut in January 2022 in an FA Cup tie against Chesterfield, providing an assist in the same match.
During the 2022–23 campaign, Hall featured more regularly in Chelsea’s senior squad. He made several Premier League starts, most notably at left wing-back, and was also deployed in midfield on occasion. Despite Chelsea’s inconsistent season, Hall’s performances were praised for their composure and work rate.
In August 2023, Hall joined Newcastle United on loan with an obligation to buy.
International
Hall has represented England at youth level, earning caps from U18 through to U21. He was part of the England U21 squad during European Championship qualification campaigns and is considered a strong candidate for future senior involvement.
