Pre-Chelsea career
Malakai joined Chelsea from Barnet in November 2014.
Chelsea career
Malakai began his Chelsea scholarship in July 2015 but, with considerable attacking depth ahead of him, failed to make a league start all season. In order to get playing time spent two months on work experience with Crystal Palace.
Failing to break through consistently in 2016-17 saw him trial extensively elsewhere before his release from the club early in 2017.
