Pre-Chelsea career
Tomi joined Chelsea in 2005 as a first-year scholar from Finnish club side FC Lahti.
Chelsea career
On the diminutive side, and a naturally quiet player, Tomi struggled to assert himself on the Under-18 team. Quick and tricky on the wing, his football was generally fine, but he was exceptionally lightweight and failed to show enough progress to move into the reserve ranks or earn a professional deal.
At the end of his two-year scholarship Tomi was released.
International
Tomi has represented Finland at Under-19 level.
