Pre-Chelsea career
Walter joined Chelsea at Under-15 level after impressing at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC.
Chelsea career
After impressing in the 2011 Milk Cup tournament, Walter made his breakthrough into the club's Under-18 team as an Under-16 schoolboy during the 2010-11 season. He scored his first goal in stoppage time against Charlton Athletic before adding to it against Portsmouth and the MK Dons.
He made his reserve team debut away to Manchester United in April 2011, but suffered a knee injury early in the 2011-12 season which sidelined him until February 2012. He returned to make a total of nine appearances and an additional outing at reserve level.
Further injuries led to another curtailed campaign in 2012-13, and with no professional contract offer on the table, Walter trialled at both Brentford and West Ham United whilst looking for a new club. He officially became a free agent when his Chelsea contract ended in June 2013.
International
Walter is yet to earn international representation.
