Chelsea vs Liverpool was an FA Cup fifth round tie which took place at Stamford Bridge on 13 February 1982. Chelsea were lying 8th in the Second Division, while Liverpool were the reigning European champions and would go on to win the league title that season. Early in the match winger Peter Rhoades-Brown latched onto a loose ball in midfield and after a clear run at goal slid the ball past Bruce Grobbelaar for the opener. Six minutes from full time, a Clive Walker cross caused a mix-up in the Liverpool defence, leaving Colin Lee with a tap in to seal a famous upset.
