Diego da Silva Costa (born 7 October 1988 in Lagarto, Brazil) is a Brazilian-born, Spanish international striker who currently plays for Chelsea. He joined the club from Atlético Madrid in July 2014.

Chelsea career

Costa finally completed his move to Chelsea on 15 July 2014, signing a five-year contract. [1]

International

Costa played twice for Brazil in friendly matches in 2013, but was granted Spanish citizenship in September of the same year and thereafter chose to represent his adopted country. He made his debut for Spain in March 2014, and was selected in the squad for that summer's FIFA World Cup squad. He and Spain suffered a disappointing tournament, making a shock exit at the group stage.
