Geremi Sorele Njitap Fotso, known simply as Geremi, is a former Cameroonian international who played for Chelsea between 2003 and 2007, making over 100 appearances. He signed for the Blues from Real Madrid, having spent a successful season on loan at Middlesbrough the previous season. A versatile player, though primarily a midfielder Geremi also played at right back for Chelsea, and was known for his combative style and technical skill, the latter evidenced in particular by his ability from free kicks. Though his spell at the club coincided with two League Cup and one FA Cup triumph, he didn't feature in any of the matchday squads for the finals. He did however pick up two Premier League-winners medals, in 2004-05 and 2005-06. He joined Newcastle United in 2007 before leaving in early 2010 and seeing out his career in Turkey and Greece.
