Joseph Colley is a defender who formerly played for Chelsea's academy.

Pre-Chelsea career

Joseph came through the ranks at Brommapojkarna in Sweden.

Chelsea career

Joseph joined Chelsea on a scholarship in July 2015 after spending the previous year intermittently on trial at the club. Quickly establishing himself as a powerful and versatile defender with authority and technique to spare, he proved himself a reliable and dependable option for Joe Edwards in the league campaign whilst contributing when needed in the 2015-16 FA Youth Cup and 2015-16 UEFA Youth League successes. Despite being just 16, he also progressed into Under-21 football early, finishing the season with three appearances to his name.

He split the 2016-17 season between both age groups, splitting his 31 appearances in all competitions almost perfectly equally. He started the season with Adi Viveash's Development Squad, experiencing some ups and downs, whilst also joining Jody Morris' youth team for league and cup duties, eventually claiming winners' medals in both as he said farewell to Under-18 football.

After two years in the Development Squad, including co-captaining the Under-19s in their 2018-19 UEFA Youth League campaign in matches where Luke McCormick was injured, he rejected the offer of a new contract at Chelsea and left the club in June 2019.

Joseph has represented Sweden up to Under-19 level, regularly serving as the team's captain.
