Ken Monkou was a Dutch central defender who played for Chelsea between 1989-92. He was signed from Feyenoord in March of 1989 for £100,000 and was voted the player of the year in his first full season at Chelsea, making him the first Dutchman to win the award at Chelsea. He went on to make 119 appearances for Chelsea before he was sold to Southampton for £700,000 in 1992.
