Ken Shellito (born 18 April 1940) was a full-back for Chelsea in the 1960s who later managed the club from 1977-78.
A full back who came through the Chelsea youth system, Shellito was a part of Tommy Docherty's rejuvenated Chelsea side of the mid-1960s, but as the team began to challenge for honours he suffered a serious knee injury which ultimately ended his playing career. Shellito took up a coaching position at Chelsea and when Eddie McCreadie resigned after his dispute with the board over a company car, he was promoted to manager.
Though he kept Chelsea in the First Division in 1977-78, the highlight of his tenure was an unexpected 4-2 FA Cup win over Liverpool in January 1978. In the next season Chelsea had only won two league games by December; Shellito resigned following a 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa which left the club bottom of the First Division.
