Football Combination Cup
From TheChels.info - The Chelsea Football Club Wiki
The Football Combination Cup came into being after the Second World War and was played between the the 1945-6 and 1954-55 seasons. It then became dormant, but was resurrected in the 1966-7 season but eventually disappeared following the 1969-70 season.
The first season it was on a straight knock-out basis.
Then for the 1946/47 season, it was played with all teams in a league with, possibly, semi-finals and a final at the end.
When re-introduced in 1966/67, it was decided to have mini leagues, generally 4 to a group, with semi-finals and a final to establish the winner.
