Pre-Chelsea career
Rohan had been with Chelsea since the age of seven. A second cousin of Blackpool winger Thomas Ince, he is also related to Thomas's father Paul.
Chelsea career
Rohan most commonly played in the heart of the Under-16s defence alongside Daniel Pappoe. Previously he could also have been found in defensive midfield when Jack Saville was a regular in the Under-16s team, and it was in this role he was first used as for the Under-18s as a schoolboy, where he was able to carry the ball forward in the knowledge of defensive cover behind him.
He suffered a serious injury on on the eve of the 2009-10 season with serious knee problem which would keep him out for half of the season. It left a hole in the academy squad which was filled by Kenny Strickland, but Rohan’s unique playing style and size was a big miss for the team. Upon his return, he looked stronger, leaner and more assured in possession, mainly playing at centre-back.
Unfortunately, he spent much of the 2010-11 season suffering with a similar issue which sidelined him well into the second half of the campaign, but he returned late in the season in a bit-part role in midfield. Further injuries again struck at the start of 2011-12, affecting his progression into the reserve team on a regular basis. As usual, however, he put together a regular run of games late in the season.
In July 2012 Rohan joined Yeovil Town on loan for the first half of the 2012-13 season but suffered yet another injury in pre-season which curtailed his early involvement, and after further problems early in the season proper, the decision was taken to terminate the deal prematurely.
In January 2013, the decision was taken to cancel Rohan's contract six months early to help him find a new club.
International
Rohan has not represented any country at international level. He is eligible to play for both England and Jamaica.
