South Eastern League

Unfortunately not a great deal is known about the South Eastern League, but when Chelsea came into existence in 1905, they required a competition for their reserve team to play in and it was to the SEL, as it was abbreviated to, where they primarily turned. They were to compete in this competition until the outbreak of the First World War.


Chelsea participated in the league for 10 seasons, winning it three times in 1909/10, 1911/12 and 1912/13.
