Chelsea were drawn into Group C of the 2017-18 UEFA Youth League alongside Atlético Madrid, AS Roma, and Qarabag. The first team not having qualified for Europe the previous season, the Youth tea were to return to the UEFA Youth League this season and again worked their way right through to the final where they were to lose their first atch at the EUFA headquarters in four years!
