Pre-Chelsea career

Isaac joined Chelsea as an Under-11 after a spell with Brighton.

Chelsea career

Isaac made his Under-18 debut against Everton in April 2013 whilst still an Under-15 and began the 2013-14 season with a handful of appearances for Adrian Viveash's youth team. He picked up valuable experience throughout the campaign and finished it strongly as he was named as an unused substitute in the Final of the FA Youth Cup.

A very regular league performer in 2014-15, he weighed in with half a dozen goals - some of which were spectacular in their own right - and showed versatility to play a number of midfield roles. He worked his way into the Under-21 squad by the end of the year without making an appearance, but was part of the successful FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League campaigns. The solid, understated progress continued in 2015-16 when he led the Under-18 team in assists along with Mason Mount and was the foundation of a midfield that helped retain the Youth Cup for a third year running, whilst making six appearances en route to another UEFA Youth League title. Ahead of graduating into the Under-21 ranks on a full-time basis in '16-17, he finished the season with a strong run under Adi Viveash and was amongst the academy's leading appearance-makers across all competitions.

He wasn't quite as regular on the team sheet in 2016-17 as he left youth team football behind, but featured in exactly half of the Development Squad's fixtures, starting the season well against Liverpool and contributing effectively for the most part when handed the opportunity. It was a similar story in 2017-18, which would turn out to be his final year at the club, leaving at the end of his contract in June.

International

Isaac has been capped by England at Under-16 and Under-17 levels.
